![]() Q! quinbus Posts: 228 Joined: Wed 4:04 amīdoucey asks: "how to copy a node and its parents, but not the other children of the parents, so I get only the "path" to the node" A script to find these conditions is then relatively simple to "crawl" the entire map (or just descendants from where it was called) looking for the same trigger that applied the conditional style in the first place and then move the node elsewhere in the map. Then, when you start dabbling in scripting, you already have some hooks in place for your script to look for (whatever triggers you used for your conditional formatting). Of course, much more sophisticated schema can be applied using attributes that would allow you to create different looks based on a combination attributes like "Due Date" "Assigned to" "Completed Date"-whatever makes sense for your application. Adding either text string to any node creates the appropriate visual impact. The other looks for the presence of the text string (matched case) and applies the "Completed" style. The first looks for the presence of the text string (matched case) and applied the "Todo" style. So, for example, lets say you create two styles, one called "Todo" (yellow background and exclamation icon) and the other named "Completed" (green background with checkmark). ![]() This will allow you do change the visual impact of a node so that completed items look different from outstanding items. This can be triggered by text within the node, condition/content of attributes, etc and applies a specific style (a defined collection of node properties (icon(s), font, background color, border, etc) that you create. ![]() In the meantime, one thing you could try that is very effective is to employ conditional formatting to change the properties of nodes that meet one or more pre-defined conditions. ![]()
